DAY-TO-DAY MAINTENANCE OF OIL-FIRED BOILERS

1.Inspect the feed water quality.

2.Blow down at regular intervals (approximately twice per shift).

3. Deactivate the Mobrey level switch and gauge glass.

4.Externally clean the gauge glass.

5.Remove and clean the fuel filters and strainers.

6.Slightly drain the oil line bucket filter.

7.Needle cleaning

Weekly maintenance of fire tube boilers

1.Check the operation of the low level and extra low level alarms by lowering the water level.

2.Ensure that all moving parts are properly lubricated.

3.Wash the flame sensor and viewing window.

4.Inspect the condition of the door seals.

5.Confirm that there are no differences in fuel pressure from the time of commissioning.

Monthly Maintenance of fire tube boilers

1.Clean all relay electrical contacts and tighten any loose connections. Contacts should not be cleaned with rough emery paper.

2.Inspect the water pump gaskets and the non-return valve.

3. Loosen the modulation motor linkages.

4.Clean the burner nozzle as well as the ignition electrodes.

5.Inspect and clean the furnace as needed.

Quarterly Maintenance of fire tube boilers

1.Wash the blower fan blades.

2.Drain and clean the water service/deaerator tank, then refill with soft / DM water.

3.Wash the fuel filters and strainers.

4. Empty and clean the fuel service tank.

5.Open and clean the boiler and super heater doors. Remove any accumulated soot deposits.
